Following a eight-day assessment, conducted by a multidisciplinary team of DQS assessors, the Iranian steel giant Mobarakah Steel Company (MSC) has been awarded the Global Conformity Mark for Operational Excellence.
Mobarakeh Steel Company, located close to the city of Esfahan, is the largest manufacturer of steel products in the Middle East as well as the largest industrial complex in Iran. In October 2018, a multidisciplinary team composed of four DQS assessors analyzed the processes and operations of the company to evaluate their effectiveness.
Dr. Sied Sadek, who led the assessor team, concluded that “the structure, approach, processes and governance of the company correspond to the global excellence level.” One aspect that particularly impressed the assessors was the way in which MSC consistently links the outcome of its stakeholder engagement processes to its overall risk management.
The Global Conformance Mark is an assessment program that enables organizations to highlight their strengths, in the areas of quality, safety and sustainability. The GC-Mark “Verified Operational Excellence” is reserved for organizations that comply with international best practices, in terms of governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, management performance and excellence.
