British American Tobacco obtains GC-Marks for social responsibility and energy efficiency

British American Tobacco, the world’s second-largest tobacco company, has obtained two GC-Marks for its sustainability performance. DQS has awarded a GC-Mark for energy efficiency and one for corporate social responsibility to the German headquarters in Hamburg.

During the past few years, British American Tobacco had already obtained ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certification. With the GC-Mark “Blue Planet – Energy efficient Company”, it adds yet another feather to its cap. And thanks to the group’s implementation of its principles for good corporate conduct, British American Tobacco has now also been rewarded with the GC-Mark for corporate social responsibility.

With the visually attractive GC-Marks, companies have the opportunity to highlight their commitment to sustainability in a way that easily understandable, even for those who are not familiar with regular certification.
